The Bern University of Applied Sciences is leading a sub project, which is part of a larger European project, funded by Health Care Without Harm -Europe (HCWH-Europe). HCWH-Europe’s vision is that everyone receives prenatal and postnatal care, free from exposure to plastics and from the toxic chemicals within the plastics – for better health and a healthier environment. Their mission is to protect current and future generations from the harmful effects of plastics and chemicals by demonstrating that toxic-free healthcare is possible and making it a global norm.
In this sub-project, the aim is to educate new generations of healthcare professionals on why and how to reduce healthcare’s impact and implement a circular economy model. The need for circular healthcare education among health profession students of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, nutrition and dietetics, medicine, public health, along with other related fields, will be addressed in this project.
