The Carbon Footprint of Treating Type 2 Diabetes – Calculations Based on Published Data
The project aims to determine the annual carbon footprint of treating type 2 diabetes.
First an overview of available quantitative carbon footprint data for the treatment and interventions of type 2 diabetes was created based on existing data. This data was then used to model the carbon footprint of patients with type 2 diabetes in Switzerland under different antidiabetic therapy approaches.
